Design Service
Bake My Cake offers a completely bespoke service. We can work together to design an original cake or you can choose a design from our portfolio. All our portfolio designs can be altered to compliment the theme of your celebration by changing the colours and flowers in the design.
Consultations and cake tasting
Consultations are by appointment and available for wedding cakes only. Clients are invited to view a selection of our current cakes and to try samples. If you do not require a wedding consultation but would like to sample our cake flavours, we can arrange to have the samples delivered to you. There is a delivery charge for this service.
Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements
• Nuts:
Our fruitcake and carrot cakes are the only cakes that contain nuts as an ingredient. None of our other flavours contain nuts as an ingredient. However, we cannot guarantee that the ingredients that we use are not contaminated at source.
• Gluten free:
We are happy to make gluten free cakes on request.
Lead Times
We ask for 2 months notice when ordering wedding cakes and 1 week for other celebrations, however we will always try to accommodate orders at shorter notice.
Payment terms
To confirm a wedding cake order, a non-refundable deposit of €100 is required. The balance is due 2 weeks before the delivery or collection of the cake. We accept payment by cheque, bank transfer and paypal.
Cake Design Alterations
Design alterations for wedding cakes can be made up to but no later than 2 weeks before collection/delivery. If the alteration affects the cost then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Collection/Delivery
Charges for nationwide delivery are available on request. All cakes can be collected from our Blackrock studio. If the cake is collected, we will not liable for any damage to the cake once it has left our studio.
Cakes decorated with fresh flowers
If your cake design requires fresh flowers, the are to be supplied by your florist. Please note some flowers are not suitable for use as cake decoration. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. We cannot be liable for any contamination to our food products that may arise from their misuse.
Cakes decorated with non-edible materials
Non-edible materials are used as decoration in some of our designs. Please note that jewels and accessories such as brooches, ribbons, silk flowers, diamantes, beads, feathers, etc. that are used to decorate some of our cakes are not edible and must be removed from your cake before serving. Bake My Cake accepts no responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from the use of these accessories.
Stand hire
Wedding cake stands are available to hire. A deposit of €50 is required. This will be refunded once the stand is returned to us. Stands must be returned within 4 days.
Wedding Cake Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your order for any reason up to twenty one days before the date of your event, the deposit of €100 is non-refundable.
